Jimmy Falon has 20 dollars and negative 4 A dollars. He has to split it between himself and his three children. The amount of money Jimmy has remaining is 5 dollars and negative A dollars. On the other side of the world, Nicholas Cage has the same amount of money as him- 8 dollars and negative 2 A dollars. Find out what an A dollar would be.

  2. I really like the way you divided it into 4 parts. That was an excellent way of showing the 1/4. Nicholas Cage reference was bizarre, but ok. How do you know that Falcon has the same amount as Cage? Does this mean in their bank accounts or on their person?

However, having negative 4 A dollars makes absolutely no sense. You need to change this to something more realistic.

    Final Problem

Jimmy Falon has 20 dollars. He then gets 4 speeding tickets with cost A dollars. On the other side of the world, Nicholas Cage has 8 dollars and 2 speeding tickets which cost A dollars each. Jimmy Falon has to pay for the speeding tickets so he has 20-4a dollars. Of what he has remaining, he splits it between himself and his three children. The amount Jimmy has remaining is equal to what Nicholas has after he pays for his speeding tickets. What is the cost of each ticket (A)?
